Core Values of Return Ministries / Centralia International Training Base

At Return Ministries / Centralia International Training Base, the following values are foundational and are incorporated into a wholesome environment conducive to developing a lifestyle of disciplined learning:

Character Development through Community Living – We live in community, in a safe

environment that provides opportunity for each intern and volunteer to “put off” the

things of the old life and “put on” the character of Christ. Come and learn the merits of

discipleship. Experience three-generational relationships in Christ, while learning to hear

God and obey His voice.

Prayer, Intercession, Praise and Worship – Integral to everything we do is prayer and

worship that hallows God’s name, calls forth the release of North American Jewry,

upholds Israel’s cause as God has ordained, and calls forth intercession that births

action for the preparation of the church to assist in Aliyah. Each week we have a

Shabbat Watch of the Lord for Israel from 10 PM Friday to 6 AM Saturday.  We focus on

developing a deeper relationship with the God of Israel through intimacy with Jesus

Christ.

The Appointed Feasts of the Lord – God’s Prophetic Time Clock. We follow the yearly

cycle of the Feasts of the Lord and incorporate the celebration of these key feasts into

our life on the base. We look forward to the special and unique Friday Shabbat dinners

and times of blessing each week.  More than just understanding the prophetic Scriptures,

we desire to be used to fulfill the Word in accordance with God’s timing. The Feasts are

God’s gateway into intimacy with Himself.

Hebrew-Style Learning - In Hebrew thought, “knowledge” is only knowledge once it is

understood through experience. Contrary to much of the western way of learning, Return

Ministries / CITB endeavours to create an environment where “experiential knowledge”

gained through many different experiences both planned and spontaneous, is the order

of the day. We value the balance of the authority of the Word with the leading of the

Holy Spirit in our teaching and decision making. Some might call our style a “Follow Me”

ministry.

Redeeming the Arts – Drama, music, dance, writing, photography, visual arts and

media, are all valued at Return Ministries / CITB and play a part in our daily life. For

example, Revelation Mystery Theatre (RMT) not only provides an expression for the

artistic individual, it draws out the creative giftings of God in each person. More than a

performance, RMT births revelational understanding and imparts truth for the hour we

are living in.

Jewish / Christian Relations – It is time to learn what the “One New Man’ looks like;

it is time to get to know our Jewish brethren.  It is one thing to learn that we need to

relate to Jewish people, it is another thing to learn how to practically do so: How do I

speak with a Jew; eat with a Jew (Kosher)? How do I love a Jewish person without

condition? Enter into the joy of practical relationship with God’s chosen people.

Financial Freedom – We set a standard of finding peace and contentment through living

within our means, valuing financial independence from debt, and utilizing mammon to

serve God, not using God to serve mammon. We walk in faith, believing God to supply

all our needs as we minister unto Him.

Israel Experience – Spending time in Israel is an invaluable experience for the disciple

where blessing and comforting Israel becomes a reality.  Seeing what the Lord is doing

today in Israel empowers an individual with a deeper passion for the work of the

Kingdom. (Cost of such a journey is a personal expense.)
